The BCA Department of Government Professional College Banas-Paithani , Pauri Garhwal is prominent Department in Uttarakhand State. The technical environment on the lap of nature with blessing of the Himalaya attracts high quality students from all over India and has an impressive educational, technical and professional record.
Currently the department has 02 regular faculty members and sufficient students working towards their professional graduation degree program.
One of the strength of the department is its highly qualified and learned faculties and other is strongly equipped culture of classrooms as well as laboratories combination. The joint venture of them makes an environment for students to develop them as a successful person with the virtue of life.
The regular revision of curriculum helps the department to upgrade the students to meet their requirements related to recent trends and technologies growing in the professional era. The Seminars, Symposiums and Workshops organized by the department, give a chance to introduce the students with the icons of related fields.

It is the most successful professional programme among all the professional programmes run by the college at graduation level since 2024. The course has an intake of 40 students.
The program is a light of hope for the students of rural and remote areas having low economy to fulfil their dream of being a successful professional graduate. Due to higher placement rate with quality education the program is yet the first professional choice of the students.
The curriculum of this program is designed and upgrade regularly according to the advancement in the technology so that it is fruitful to the students to meet their requirements related to recent trends and technologies growing in the professional era.
Convener & Head- Dr. Puneet Chandra Verma
Dr. Puneet Chandra Verma, Convener and Head, Department of BCA at GPC Banas-Paithani, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, earned his BCA & MCA from Amarapali Institute Haldwani, Kumaun University, Nainital, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dev Sanskriti Vishva Vidayalaya, Shantikunj, Haridwar. He has made noteworthy research contributions published in prestigious journals, including IEEE, Springer, and Taylor and Francis. In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Verma has played a key role in organizing numerous national and state-level events, demonstrating her leadership and organizational skills. Actively participating in academic societies such as CSI (Computer Society of India), IS (Internet Society) underscores her commitment to the academic community. Dr. Verma’s research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Signal Processing, and Wavelet Theory, showcasing her expertise in cutting-edge and interdisciplinary areas. His diverse contributions and active engagement in academia highlight a well-rounded professional dedication for advancing knowledge in the field of Computer Science & Applications.
