About Botany Department

The department of botany was estabilished in the year of 2022 surrounded by chir-pine forest. Beginning of the establishment of department of botany was started from 15 students, effilated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. Now the botany department is a vital part of the science faculty in our college, dedicated to scientific study of plants and their various life processes. Estabilished with the aim of promoting excellence in plant science education and research, the department offers undergraduate NEP courses that provide students with a strong foundation in theoretical and practical aspects of botany.

 Regular botanical excursions, fieldwork, and study tours to forests, botanical gardens, and research institutes to enhance practical knowledge.
 Participation in eco-friendly practices, tree plantations, and awareness programs on biodiversity.
 Foster collaboration with other departments, research institutions and organizations to enhance interdisciplinary research.
 To develop scientific temper, critical thinking and problem solving skills among students.

To be a center of excellence in botanical education and research, fostering a deep understanding of plant sciences while promoting sustainable environmental stewardship and innovation in life sciences. In pursuit of excellence in plant science through plant exploration but not exploitation.

To provide student centered education and create socially committed and academic excellence in plant science. To sensitise the students towards immediate environment and the society at large. Establishment of linkages with universities and research institutes of national and international repute for the betterment of the students. To impart high-quality education in botany through a balanced curriculum of theory, practicals and research.
